A Coastal Summer Wedding in Boothbay

Kathleen & Bennett | Spruce Point Inn | Coastal Summer Wedding | Boothbay, ME

I absolutely love Maine. I grew up there, swimming in the ocean and enjoying the vacationland way of life. While NY is my home now, Maine will always hold a special place in my heart. I felt so lucky when Kathleen and Bennett asked me to photograph their coastal summer wedding in Boothbay, ME. I loved being able to capture gorgeous portraits of them seaside and spending the day smelling the salt water.

These two had a perfect wedding day, it was sunny and warm, but not too hot at the Spruce Point Inn. While I have spent time in Boothhbay, I had never been to the Spruce Point Inn. It is gorgeous. A stunning property right on the waters edge. There’s the ocean, and woods, and gardens. A photographers dream venue. Kathleen and Bennett had a first look among the woods that surround the property and then we got to wander around talking photos.

The ceremony was stunning with the location overlooking the bay. As Kathleen and Bennett said I do, ships sailed by behind them and friends and family clapped before them.

After the ceremony it was party time! Everyone enjoyed cocktails on the lawn and then made their way to the gorgeous ballroom for dances and toasts.

Once the sun started setting, Kathleen, Bennett, and myself, slipped outside and down to the water’s edge for some more portraits. To me they are the quintessential Maine wedding photos. Two people, in love, by the ocean. I was in photographer heaven, y’all.

After that it was time to dance, dance, dance the night away. Kathleen and Bennett also had our photobooth there, which was a huge hit! It was one of the first events I had it for and it was so fun to see everyone get it a kick out of it.

It was such an honor to get to be Kathleen and Bennett’s wedding photographer.
