Alex reached out to me, to see if I would be available for her September elopement. Because of Covid, their original wedding plans had been put on hold and Alex and Dustin decided to hold a very small intimate celebration in the Finger Lakes region.
They rented a super cool Airbnb in Aurora, NY. This was no ordinary airbnb, it had once been a church! With it’s grand ceilings and stained glass windows I found lots of lovely little pockets of light to play with.
Alex, with the help of her mother, got ready upstairs and I couldn’t resist a mini portrait session in the room. Then with sunset approaching we headed down the street to the Wells College boathouse. With the setting sun and Cayuga lake behind them, Alex and Dustin said their vows.
After the ceremony it was time for a champagne toast and then some sunset portraits along the dock. What a perfect evening for photos!!
We headed back to the airbnb after where Alex, Dustin and their guests relaxed by a bonfire as they munched on appetizers.
It was such a lovely day and I’m so glad Alex reached out so that I got to be a part of it.
Enjoy the photos :)!
