Alrighty y’all. The blog is alive! Elise and Kory’s spectacular Hotel Syracuse wedding kicked off my 2021 season.
Originally scheduled for 2020, Elise and Kory were bummed to have to wait an entire extra year. However, despite the wait, the day came together perfectly.
Admittedly, I was a little nervous heading back into weddings at the start of 2021. Having just had a baby I worried about how I would hold up both physically and mentally. However, there was no need to worry! It’s obvious from the photos, but Elise, Kory AND their friends and family are seriously some of the nicest people I’ve met and the day was a true joy.
I say it a lot, but I’ll say it again. I am forever grateful for the couples that trust me to capture one of the most important days of their lives.
With a timeline that had ample room for photos I was in heaven. This Hotel Syracuse wedding started with laughter and love at Hotel Syracuse in the bridal rotunda.
After a first look with her bridesmaids, Elise headed off to Franklin Square where her and Kory shared their first look.
After bridal party and family photos, we made a quick stop at the Thorndon Park Rose Garden. This garden is in my backyard and I love walking over there in the summer with my kids to look at and smell the beautiful roses. Getting to make couple portraits amidst the garden was seriously magical. MAGICAL.
After our portrait session we headed downtown for the ceremony at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. It was here, where after all their waiting, Elise and Kory got to say I do.
They look pretty darn happy to be married!
After the ceremony, we headed back to Hotel Syracuse. Kory and Elise put up with more of my requests, and we stole off for a few more photos around the magnificent hotel.
After that, well we all know what comes next. It’s time to party!! All of the vendors did an amazing job making the already stunning ballroom look exquisite. So, definitely check out the vendor list below.
A grand entrance, a first dance, and toasts that had all of the guests laughing, that’s the way to start a wedding reception.
Dance, dance, dance! The dance floor was packed all night long. This crowd came to the Hotel Syracuse, ready and willing to party with Kory and Elise!
