Allison and Will love Old Forge, the scenery and the history and when they recently purchased the Blue Spruce Motel, they made it home. They will be having an amazing Adirondack camp wedding weekend this fall, and so they wanted their engagement session to celebrate the Old Forge area as well. They decided on the stunning and historical Great Camp Sagamore for their session, and well, you can see why. The grounds are beautiful and were the perfect place for a little romp through the snow! (Fun Fact…several years ago, I photographed Amanda and Steve’s wedding here! It certainly looks different in the winter!)
I drove up to the camp right after a big snow storm and since I was massively pregnant at the time, I dragged my husband and daughter along with me…you know, just in case! So while those two played in the snow, I set off with Allison and Will for their session.
I got to get to know Allison and Will, and let me tell you, they are two people you want to get to know. They are so fun and I am pumped to get to spend a weekend with them this fall ! They were up for all my suggestions, which meant trudging through literal feet of snow, throwing snow, and even laying down in the snow. And through all of those requests, they laughed, and hugged and loved one another. It was a blast. We got to incorporate both the camp architecture and the stunning nature that the Adirondacks is known for.
Enjoy these magical photos, and if you want an adventurey engagement session in any weather, hit me up and let’s make it happen.
