It’s amazing that we have a place as beautiful as Taughannock Falls in Upstate, NY. Sometimes I catch myself feeling jealous of photos of deserts, mountains, oceans etc. But then I remind myself that not everybody gets to live near a stunning waterfall.
I met up with Casey and Andy on a sunny autumn day. But when we got up close to the actual waterfall, it was super misty. They didn’t mind though and braved the wind and mist to get some stunning dramatic and romantic photos. After photos up close with the waterfall, we wandered back down the path where we were able to take advantage of the golden hour sunlight and the fall foliage.
I loved wandering the path with Casey and Andy. They were so much fun to photograph, and they certainly made my job easy! They were so fun and up for all my suggestions, even if it meant they got a little wet right at the start of the session. I can not wait for their fall wedding this year, it’s going to be spectacular!
Did you know that Taughannock Falls is the highest single-drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains? Pretty cool that it’s just an hourish away from Syracuse! Side note, if you ever have the chance to check it out in the winter, it’s equally spectacular!
Look at this light. Please, just look at it. There is nothing better than autumn golden hour light. It is it’s own brand of specialness. And it’s even better when you have an awesome couple to photograph during it.
I’d love to help you plan a session of your own! Get in touch here and we can make some photo magic happen!
