It’s no secret that I have a soft spot for Ithaca, and I’m always thrilled when a couple asks me to capture their Ithaca engagement session. So when Emily and Paul, who also share my love for this beautiful city, approached me for their engagement session, I couldn’t have been more excited!
To start off our session, we headed to one of my favorite spots in the area – the breathtaking Ithaca Falls. The path to the falls is a short and easy walk, which made it a great choice for us (and is something to think about when choosing your session footwear!). The falls themselves are absolutely stunning, and we were able to get up close and personal with the cascading water. It was the perfect backdrop for capturing some incredible shots of this lovely couple.
After taking in the majestic beauty of Ithaca Falls, we made our way to a nearby bridge that offered a wider view of the waterfall. These photos of Emily and Paul just being connected and together are some of my favorites from the session. They radiate so much love and warmth that it’s impossible not to feel their joy through the lens.
Next, we ventured to Edwards Cliff Preserve, a hidden gem in Ithaca that I had never photographed before. It was the perfect location for the second half of their engagement session, especially because Emily and Paul were able to bring their beloved dog along. As an animal lover myself, I always appreciate it when couples include their furry friends in their photoshoots. We explored the area, capturing their natural love surrounded by the stunning woods and water.
It was a wonderful session, and I can’t wait to see what their wedding day holds. Tragically, due to the lack of cloning, I won’t be photographing their wedding, but I can not wait to see the photos from my amazing associate Todd.
If you’re considering an Ithaca engagement session, I’m your photographer! Just pop over to the contact form, and let’s make some magic together.
