I always love love love when weddings take place in Syracuse, NY (ya know because I’m a Syracuse Wedding Photographer and all). While traveling to new destinations is fun, I love being able to explore my own city as well! I met up with Balbina at her home where she was getting ready with her family. After spending some time there, I made my way over to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. If you’ve never been in the Cathedral downtown, you are missing out. It is absolutely stunning.

Balbina and Scott had a beautiful and heartfelt Catholic Mass, with many readings by family members and dear friends. After they said their vows and sealed the deal with their first kiss we had some time to take portraits.

We went back to Scott’s family home where we had a plethora of spots to take photos. We had a lake, we had fields, we had a barn. It was wonderful!

After a fantastic portrait session we made our way back into the city for their reception at the Syracuse University Sheraton Hotel. Let me tell you, this group loved to dance. The energy was amazing and the party was loads of fun.

Somehow, I managed to pull Scott and Balbina off the dancefloor for a few minutes so we could go grab a few more photos as the sun set in the University area.
