I travel all over central and upstate NY for weddings. The finger lakes, the Adirondacks, the capital region, sometimes even over into other states! But, even though Rochester is only an hour and a half away, I don’t actually shoot up that way very often. So, it was a fun and new adventure for me as I met up with CecÍlia and Dave on their wedding day. Their wedding took place in the new lakeside building in the Abraham Lincoln Park, and let me tell you…that is one gorgeous hidden gem. Trees, water, a beautiful new building, honestly there’s not a whole lot more you could want in a wedding venue if the outdoor vibe is your jam! When I got to the location and wandered around, it made me think of camping, so serene, quiet and calming. Exactly the type of spot I love to shoot in.
CecÍlia and Dave only booked me a few weeks before their wedding, so I didn’t have a ton of time to get to know them before hand, which always leaves me a little nervous, but there was definitely not any reason to be. Dave and CecÍlia are warm, kind, loving people, and they welcomed me into their wedding day with their family and friends.
It was an honor to capture their lakeside vows, which were streamed live to Brazil for CecÍlia’s family who could not make it. I witnessed and documented touching speeches from their beloved friends and created gorgeous portraits of these two sweet souls.
I say it every time and I will keep on saying it, I am forever and always honored by my couples that trust in me and allow me to document such a special day of their lives. I am so glad that I got be there for them on their wedding day, and I’m excited to share their photos with you.
Enjoy!
