The Sinclair of Skaneateles is such a unique and stunning venue. When Beth and Steph reached out to me to photograph their wedding, I was super excited because I’ve been wanting to check this venue out! Getting to photograph a wedding at a super cool venue, with an even cooler couple = dream come true!

Everything about Steph and Beth’s wedding day was perfect and I am so glad I got to be a part of it.

The Historical Sinclair of Skaneateles

After poking around on their website I learned that this venue used to be the Sinclair Chair Factory! Well it certainly doesn’t look like a factory any longer. While it remains a large historical building, it has been transformed into a such a fun, fresh wedding venue. One of the best parts of it in my opinion is that it’s a one stop shop for your wedding day! There are spots for getting ready, a ceremony, portraits, and the reception!

A HOT Summer Wedding

Beth and Steph got married on a beautiful day in August, but let me tell ya, it was hot. This meant that some plans had to be reworked so that everyone could remain comfortable and no one overheated! But Steph and Beth had hired an amazing team of professionals, so even though things didn’t go to plan exactly, it all went off without a hitch.

We started the day doing their first look in the third floor suite. This space is open and bright, since it’s filled with windows. Everyone except Beth and Steph headed downstairs, and the two were able to have a quiet moment together as they saw each other for the first time that day.

After the first look we popped outside to quickly grab some portraits. No one was interested in being in the heat for long, so I was efficient and quick, getting all the shots we need and getting everyone back into the AC asap.

An Indoor Ceremony at the Sinclair of Skaneateles

Because of the heat and an impending rain shower, the ceremony was relocated from outside to in. And so, on the dance floor surrounded by their closest friends and family, Beth and Steph said I Do. It was emotional, funny, and absolutely perfect.

Party Time

After the ceremony, it was party time. As the night cooled off, guests wandered in and out of the venue. Taking advantage of the scenic outside and the hopping dancefloor inside. Touching speeches were given, good food was eaten (seriously, delicious) and an amazing time was had by all.
