This Syracuse engagement session was simply perfect. The day was chilly and drizzly—classic Syracuse winter weather—but it could have been much worse! The cold weather just meant more opportunities for cozy cuddles to stay warm.
Engagement sessions are such a joy because they allow us to showcase your unique personalities. If you’re an outdoorsy person, a park or hike might be ideal. But if you prefer a different vibe, there are plenty of great options! Imagine starting your session in a cozy downtown café, where we can warm up with a cup of coffee before heading out.
I especially enjoy photographing Syracuse engagement sessions downtown during winter. While the trees and plants might be taking a seasonal break, the city itself comes alive with interesting visual elements. Holiday lights, brick walls, and inviting windows add so much color, variety, and fun to the photos. Plus, no need to worry about looking sweaty in the pictures!
We kicked off this session at The Sweet Praxis, a delightful café in downtown Syracuse. With iced coffees in hand (yes, even in winter!), these two cozied up, and we captured some truly magical shots. The images taken from outside, looking in through the café windows, turned out to be some of my favorites—there’s something special about capturing that warmth and intimacy.
After our coffee break, we braved the wind, rain, and cold for a quick walk around the historic Hanover and Clinton Square. These two made my job so easy. They huddled close, shared smiles and sweet kisses, and turned the dreary weather into something romantic.
I always love photographing Syracuse engagement sessions downtown. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, let me know! Every one of my wedding packages includes a complimentary engagement session, so you can have your own set of amazing photos. Just be prepared for me to suggest an impromptu coffee break or two—because who doesn’t love coffee and cuddles?
